The SONGO RIVER QUEEN I was built in 1970 and
cruised continually each season until her tragic demise in October of
1981 when she completely burned at dock down to the water line.
The SONGO RIVER QUEEN II was christened on May
29,1982 and was a larger version of the 65 foot SONGO RIVER QUEEN I.
Her replacement tapes out at 93 feet long, has a 23 foot beam, and
tops the scales at just under 100 tons. The SONGO RIVER QUEEN II has
been in continuous operation for 28 consecutive years and has a
perfect safety record. Rated for 350 passengers, she has two deck
levels, a food court and cocktail bar, and restroom facilities. Her
season runs from Mother's Day to Halloween and the scenery is
constantly changing from season to season.
